The architecture and interior architecture programs invite applications for part-time and limited-duration positions to teach drawing courses, furniture design and fabrication, construction documents, structures, and design studios. Appointments may be from one to three quarters, not to exceed one year.
Additionally, we are seeking applications for three one-term distinguished visiting positions: The Frederick Charles Baker Chair in Architectural Design, with a special focus on the study of light and lighting; the Pietro Belluschi Distinguished Professor in Architectural Design; the Margo Grant Walsh Professor in Interior Architectural Design; and the Julie Neupert Stott Visiting Professor in Interior Architectural Design. Appointments to the distinguished professorships are made from a continuing pool of candidates.
Successful candidates will have either academic or professional experience in their teaching area, demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. A professional master's degree or PhD is preferred. In exceptional circumstances, significant professional experience in a relevant field may substitute for the advanced degree. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and the pool will remain active through 2009-2010.
To apply, send a statement of interest and a current resume or curriculum vita to: Department of Architecture, Adjunct Faculty Pool, 1206 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403-1206. Phone (541) 346-3656. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.
The University of Oregon is an AA/EE/ADA institution committed to cultural diversity.
