Professional Outreach and Development for Students (PODS)
The Office of Professional Outreach and Development for Students (PODS) is a program of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts. PODS helps students in the fields of architecture and interior architecture develop career goals and seek full time professional opportunities as well as part-time and summer internships.
UO Career Center
The UO Career Center, with offices in Eugene and Portland, assists students who are job hunting, seeking internships, and preparing to make the transition from school to professional life.
Practicum: a professional development course (ARCH/IARC 4/609)
Students may pursue participatory learning experiences off campus by taking a practicum course. Practicum provides opportunities to explore aspects of professional practice within design firms or other entities engaged in activities that shape the built environment. Practicum is available in both Eugene and Portland.

Toward an Evolution of Studio Culture (2008)
The document contains the results of the 2007 Administrators Survey on Studio Culture, the 2008 AIAS Council of Presidents Survey on Studio Culture, lessons learned from peer reviewed studio culture policies, and a summary of best practices, guidelines and recommendations for a more effective studio culture narrative. As such, it represents a significant step forward in the Studio Culture initiative.
Emerging Professional's Companion
The Emerging Professional’s Companion (EPC) is an online resource developed by the AIA and NCARB primarily for use by interns in gaining IDP credit. Undergoing updates in 2012 to comply with IDP 2.0, the EPC can also be used by educators, young architects, AIA components, and firms in a variety of ways to enhance or create new learning opportunities.
